A New Chapter for Strong Oaks
Strong Oaks is now run by Logan Strong from her home in Senoia, Georgia. Logan is Joe and Sharon’s daughter, and she has been part of the Strong Oaks breeding program since she was old enough to walk. Joe and Sharon wanted every litter to grow up around children, so Logan was right in the middle of it — playing with the puppies, handling them, and helping socialize litter after litter. Now she’s carrying on the program her parents built in Morganton, North Carolina, with the same standards. She raises Goldendoodles and is adding Bernedoodles to the program.
We want to be upfront about the change. Joe and Sharon have stepped back from raising doodles to focus on their Standard Poodle program, Poodles of Piedmont. Logan has taken over Strong Oaks and moved it to Georgia, and she stands behind every Strong Oaks family — including every puppy that came home from North Carolina. Where Strong Oaks Began: Joe & Sharon
Joe began training dogs professionally in 1992, developing a deep understanding of canine behavior, health, and temperament. That foundation led Joe and Sharon to Goldendoodles more than 15 years ago, and Strong Oaks grew from there on their land in the North Carolina foothills.
Joe and Sharon met in high school and have been building their life together ever since. They raised four children — Logan among them — and dogs were always at the center of the family. That’s the way Strong Oaks puppies have always been raised, and it’s the way Logan raises them today.
How We Raise Our Puppies
Every Strong Oaks puppy is born inside our family home, surrounded by the everyday sounds and warmth of a busy household from day one. During those critical first weeks, our puppies are held, loved, and exposed to family life — the activity and attention that make a well-adjusted dog.
